Of the three distinct areas of Caleta de Fuste two are east of the main road by the beach and very flat, Castillo Beach and Atlantico Commercial Centre areas. The third area, Castillo Caleta de Fuste is west of the main road and rises up towards Montana Blanca.

Castillo Beach is dominated by Barcelo Resort Complex and the Barcelo Castillo Beach Resort Bungalows, which encompasses the harbour and San Ventura Castle. A favourite long lazy lunch can be had at Beach Club Chiringuito La Isla, a short walk out from the beach out to the man-made lagoon. Nearby is the fantastic Sheraton Fuerteventura Beach, Golf & Spa Resort with 266 spacious rooms each with a large private terrace overlooking the beach or the resort’s lovely gardens.

Castillo Caleta de Fuste has a blend of holiday complexes, bungalows and private rental villas. With a number of bars and restaurants the stand out venue is the family run Nestor's Restaurant & Steakhouse, about a 25 minute from Barcelo bungalows, very attentive with a superb menu. The walk has a steady rise once you go through the subway by the roundabout. Also very popular is Chaplin's Bar in  Montecastillo Caleta de Fuste, good food and relaxed atmosphere.

A 16 minute walk away from the Barcelo bungalows and the beach will take you past twice weekly market and the excellent Kobe steakhouse.
